Adam Charles Mihayo
Chief Executive Officer and Managing DirectorMr. Adam Mihayo is a visionary banking executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership experience across local and international financial institutions. He currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Tanzania Commercial Bank (TCB Bank), a position he assumed in November 2023 following his appointment by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, H.E. Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan. As CEO, Mr. Mihayo is responsible for steering the bank’s strategic direction, driving innovation, and positioning TCB as a catalyst for inclusive economic growth and financial empowerment across Tanzania. With a career that blends technical expertise and executive insight, Mr. Mihayo has consistently led institutions through transformation and growth. Prior to joining TCB Bank, he served as Managing Director and CEO of Bank of Africa (BOA) Tanzania Limited, where he spearheaded structural reforms and reinforced the bank’s market position. He has also held senior leadership roles at Absa Bank Tanzania and Stanbic Bank Tanzania, where he led diverse teams and championed customer-centric business strategies. Mr. Mihayo’s banking journey began at the National Bank of Commerce (NBC) Limited. His potential was quickly recognized, earning him selection into Absa Bank’s elite Management Training Programme in South Africa in 2008—an experience that laid the foundation for his future leadership in the financial sector. In his capacity as CEO, Mr. Mihayo oversees TCB Bank mission to deliver sustainable financial solutions, enhance operational efficiency, and expand the bank’s footprint while aligning with national development goals. He plays a central role in shaping the institution’s corporate culture, strengthening governance structures, and fostering innovation to meet the evolving needs of customers and stakeholders. Beyond his executive duties, Mr. Mihayo actively contributes to the banking industry through various board appointments. He is a Member of the Tanzania Bankers Association, a Board Member of the World Savings and Retail Banking Institute (WSBI) headquartered in Brussels, a Board Member of Zanzibar National Chamber of Commerce, a Board Member of UBX, a Board member of TPC and a Board Member of UmojaSwitch. He is also a former Board Member of the Tanzania Mortgage Refinance Company Limited (TMRC), where he chaired the Board Credit Committee. Mr. Mihayo holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has pursued advanced leadership programmes and is a certified director by the Institute of Directors in Tanzania (IoDT). Ms. Masala Ndobho Korosso
Director of Risk Management and ComplianceMs. Masala Ndobho Korosso is an experienced banker with a wealth of 20 years in the banking industry. She joined TCB in 2020 as Senior Manager Compliance from the former TIB Corporate Bank Ltd where she served as Manager Risk and Compliance. Her career reflects a strong aptitude for business development, stakeholder management, regulatory adherence, operational risk management and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Ms. Korosso has held various positions in local, regional and international banks in the Tanzanian market where she successfully managed key functions in Risk & Compliance, Consumer/Retail Banking, Channels Management and High Net worth Segment. She started off her banking career at Barclays Bank Tanzania and thereafter worked at CRDB, BancABC, Standard Chartered Bank, First National Bank (FNB), Tigo and the former TIB Corporate Bank Ltd. Ms. Korosso holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Hons) majoring in International Relations & French from University of Dar es Salaam and holds a Certificate in Leadership from UONGOZI Institute in collaboration with Aalto University Executive Education and Professional Development. She has attended various leadership courses within and outside the country. Daniel F. Mbotto
Director of creditDaniel F. Mbotto joined TCB Bank in 15th April 2024 as Director of credit , has played a Pivotal role in fostering the expansion and advancement of the financial industry in Tanzanja for the past decades. With more than Sixteen years Of refined experience in strategic leadership for financial institutions nationwide, he is an invaluable asset to the bank. During his three-year tenure as Chief credit Officer of NMB Bank PLC, he oversaw work ethics culturally and strategically, established risk appetite, and fostered innovation in digital lending and sustainability. Furthermore, under his direction, a profitable lending portfolio in East Africa with a book value of $3.4 billion was managed at a cost of risk of less than 1.2%. Before joining NMB Bank PLC, he oversaw Credit Risk Management at Stanbic Bank Tanzania, where he oversaw origination, monitoring and control and Collections and Recoveries for both domestic and international clients across all segments. Mr. Mbotto possesses nearly two decades of expertise and experience in the field, having worked for numerous institutions on a national and international scale, most notably as Head of credit.
